Angela Knight, Chief Executive, Association of Private Client Investment Managers (APCIM)

On 11 th December, the Financial Services Club is pleased to host a special Christmas celebration dinner with a keynote presentation from Angela Knight, Chief Executive of the Association of Private Client Investment Managers (APCIM).

Today, banks, investment managers and now potentially even hedge funds, are offering services to high net worth individuals, but who should these individuals trust with their wealth? And these days, what does trust mean anyway?

Angela Knight will look at the state of the wealth management markets and answer the question: "Who should you trust with your wealth?"

Angela Kinght is currently Chief Executive of the Association of Private Client Investment Managers and Stockbrokers (APCIMS) and will become the new Chief Executive of the British Bankers' Association (BBA) as from 1st April 2007. Angela is also a non-executive director on the boards of LogicaCMG, LloydsTSB and Scottish Widows and IFSL, and a trust member of the Port of London Authority.

She began her career with the American industrial gas company Air Products and went on to set up, and was Chief Executive, of Cook & Knight Metallurgical Processors. From 1987 to 1992, she was Councillor and Chief Whip on Sheffield City Council, and entered Parliament in 1992 as MP for Erewash and was Economic Secretary to the Treasury between 1995 and 1997.
