Creating successful digital relationships
Background:Derek White joined BBVA at the start of last year as the Global Head of Customer Solutions, reporting directly to the CEO, Carlos Torres Vila. In this role, he is responsible for the drive to transform the customer value proposition, including global product and design, customer experience, launching new products and services and leveraging big data and customer analytics.
Before joining BBVA, Derek led Barclays Bank’s digital banking initiative, embracing disruptive technologies and the startup ecosystem, overseeing the design and launch of market leading applications, platforms and services. Prior to joining Barclays, Derek was at First USA Bank (now JPMorgan Chase) in the U.S.
Born in Utah in the U.S., Derek has a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Utah State University and holds an MBA from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He and his wife have four children.
