The bank to Fintech experience
Lee Sankey believes that banks are threatened by technology change and must respond and adapt fast. As someone who has worked at both the leading edge of technology with Skype and banking with Barclays, he should know. What are the learning experiences of a designer when dealing with finance, and how should financial institutions adapt to the technology challenge? This evening we will find out.
At Barclays bank Lee Sankey built and led an interdisciplinary team responsible for creating new services. He was previously Managing Director of Voxygen, a London design and technology agency and has worked with such brands as Skype, Vodafone, Puma and Swatch. His ongoing project on the perception of musical instruments, called Brainstruments, features contributions from over 50 of the world’s leading jazz musicians has appeared in WIRED.
